This made me think about how easy it is to get caught up in looking successful, whether it’s in marketing, design, or even life. The danger is when the signal gets louder than the substance.
We talk a lot in our culture about being unique, but most don't have the resilience or appetite to stick to their guns and they'd rather join the local shoot-out, blasting and reloading all day, not knowing what were aiming for or what target to hit, spraying and praying. The real ones are walking through the shoot out with a samurai sword. And this metaphor has now been shot to pieces!
